About Us

Where business strategy meets culture, emotion and expression

Our background is rooted in economics, business and marketing. Over time, this foundation led us to explore a broader question: why do people choose one business, product or service over another, even when the available options appear similar?

To understand that choice, we began looking beyond conventional marketing models. We studied how culture, social structures, identity, emotions and collective experience influence people’s needs, expectations and perceptions of value. Different communities do not interpret the same message, symbol or promise in exactly the same way. What people desire, trust, remember and consider meaningful is shaped not only by price or functionality, but also by the cultural and emotional world in which they live.

This exploration gradually expanded beyond business strategy. We developed Beyond Homelands as a cultural movement: a space for ideas about freedom, responsibility, identity, belonging and the future of humanity. Its expressive development led us to create an original universe of science-fiction films, contemporary narratives, music and visual storytelling.

Through this journey, three dimensions began to converge:

economic and marketing strategy, cultural understanding, and visual and narrative expression.

From this convergence, the B.H. Method was developed.

Why we created the B.H. Method

Modern marketing often focuses heavily on promotion, visibility, advertising and short-term conversion. These activities can be valuable, but they cannot compensate for a business that is unclear, interchangeable or disconnected from the people it wants to serve.

We believe communication should not be treated as a collection of isolated messages, campaigns or visual assets. A business communicates through everything it does: its positioning, offers, prices, language, visual identity, customer experience, people, processes, environments, behaviour and ability to keep its promises.

The B.H. Method was created to overcome the limits of fragmented marketing approaches and build a more complete system of brand identity and total communication.

Our purpose is to help businesses define:

  • what they should be remembered for;
  • which customers and human situations they should become relevant to;
  • which functional and emotional needs they can credibly address;
  • what makes their offer meaningfully different;
  • how strategy should become language, imagery, sound and storytelling;
  • how the entire business should support the same identity.

More than a visual identity

We do not believe that a brand becomes distinctive simply because it has a new logo, a polished website or an impressive video.

A strong brand emerges when strategy, expression and business reality reinforce one another.

This means that the promise communicated by the brand must also be visible in the offer, the customer journey, the service experience, the behaviour of the people involved and the standards the business is prepared to maintain.

Our work therefore connects brand strategy with practical application. We combine research, positioning, human needs, cultural context, visual identity, cinematic storytelling, sound and operational guidance to build one coherent system.

The goal is not to make a business appear different without substance. It is to identify, develop and express a credible reason for people to understand it, remember it and prefer it.

What we believe

People do not choose only through rational comparison.

They also respond to clarity, trust, identity, belonging, aspiration, reassurance, curiosity and emotional relevance. These dimensions should never be manipulated or reduced to superficial advertising techniques. They should be understood responsibly and connected to a real capability, a useful offer and a credible customer experience.

For this reason, the B.H. Method begins with evidence and business reality. It then explores the market, the alternatives available to the customer, the cultural and emotional context of the choice, and the expressive system required to make the brand recognizable.

Our ambition is to help businesses move beyond generic communication and become more coherent, distinctive and meaningful.

When this happens, brand identity can contribute to more than visibility. It can support stronger recognition, clearer positioning, greater perceived value, more consistent customer relationships and the long-term development of the entire business.

Beyond Homelands Studio

Beyond Homelands Studio is the professional expression of this journey.

Beyond Homelands Studio is an independent strategy and creative practice founded and directed by Luca Pugliese.

It brings together our economic and marketing background, our cultural research, the narrative universe of Beyond Homelands and the strategic framework of the B.H. Method.

We build research-informed narrative identity systems for new ventures and existing businesses that want to be understood more clearly, distinguished more meaningfully and remembered for something that matters.

We build brands people can feel.
